[For once, the atmosphere at Ryozanpaku's dojo is actually kinda nice.

The school won bigtime at New Sun Rising, winning both the Super Junior Championship and the Super Junior Tag Team Championships. The teachers and chaperones besides Ryozan, who are normally pretty darn stoic, are for once highly complimentary and even proud of their students -- even Mayu and Homura, who didn't win their duel, but, the teacher's feel, still accomplished a lot by being good enough to get to a point where they dueled in front of that many people in the Kaibadome.

Ryozan is stoic as ever. He gave his piece back at the building, but he hasn't addressed anybody directly since then. Maybe he's just waiting.

Meanwhile, the students are being given kind of a celebration for the work they've put in at New Sun Rising and in the months and years leading up to this point. There's food and there's even TV and one of those got-dang kaiju movies playing. For one night at least, the five of them can just relax.]

::Comes out in a bit, cleaned up, but not looking great, beating herself up about her loss with Mayu against. Those two. She grabs some food but her mood's obviously lousy.::

Oh. Just fine. Got wrecked in front of a huge crowd with my partner by two rank amateurs out of their league.

Ryozan glances at the belt in Isao's hand.]

[Isao looks like he doesn't really want to have this conversation from the outset. But for the moment, he tries to be deferential.]

I was unaware you and Zheng had plans to participate in the gauntlet and fight for the tag team championships.

This was a spur of the moment decision on your part, was it not.

[The implication comes off pretty clear...Ryozan doesn't like not knowing what his students are doing. He doesn't like being surprised like this.]

It was. Zheng and I decided to do it shortly before entries closed. I saw an oppourtunity and we decided to take it. [And with a little edge, he adds,] We did it to represent Ryozanpaku.

You struck swiftly and decisively. You embodied the ideals of our school. And most importantly, you won and brought us further prestige.
